La Conferencia Permanente de Partidos Políticos de América Latina y el Caribe (COPPPAL), que preside el Senador Alejandro Moreno, expresa su profunda preocupación por la situación política en Honduras previa al proceso electoral del próximo 30 de noviembre y hace un llamado a todas las partes involucradas a garantizar la realización de elecciones transparentes, limpias y equitativas.
En este sentido, la COPPPAL:
- Solicita que se garantice la integridad del proceso electoral y se tomen todas las medidas necesarias para prevenir cualquier tipo de fraude o irregularidad.
- -Insta a las autoridades electorales, al gobierno, a las instituciones judiciales y militares a actuar con imparcialidad y transparencia en la organización de las elecciones sin distinción partidista.
- -Llama a todos los partidos políticos a participar de manera pacífica y respetuosa en el proceso electoral.
- -La COPPPAL reitera su compromiso con la democracia y la promoción de los derechos humanos en la región.
Ante la preocupación de varios organismos internacionales, la COPPPAL se compromete a seguir de cerca el proceso electoral en Honduras a través de su Observatorio Electoral, apoyando a que se conduzcan correctamente las instituciones democráticas del país.
Exhortamos a todos los actores involucrados en el proceso, y a la ciudadanía en general, a acompañar al Consejo Nacional Electoral en su compromiso con la transparencia, la imparcialidad y la justicia en el proceso electoral.
