En el marco del 97 aniversario del PRI, el Grupo Parlamentario tricolor en el Congreso mexiquense presentó dos propuestas que retoman la defensa de las comunidades indígenas.
En mensaje a medios, el diputado Eduardo Zarzosa dijo que de acuerdo con la COESPO, 417 mil 603 personas son hablantes de alguna lengua indígena en nuestro Estado y casi el 70 por ciento de ellas y ellos viven en condiciones de pobreza o pobreza extrema.
Esto incluye que habiten en viviendas que se encuentran en situación de rezago, ya sea por estar construidas con materiales precarios, carecer de servicios básicos o presentar condiciones de hacinamiento.
Por ello, presentó una iniciativa para que pueblos y comunidades indígenas y afromexicanas tengan acceso equitativo a la vivienda, incorporando en la ley criterios claros de inclusión y justicia social, y facilitando su acceso a programas, subsidios, financiamiento y créditos, para que puedan construir, mejorar o ampliar sus viviendas en condiciones dignas y acordes a su entorno y cultura.
En tanto, la diputada Lety Mejía presentó un exhorto para que el Consejo Estatal para el Desarrollo Integral de los Pueblos Indígenas del Estado de México (CEDIPIEM) y el Instituto Nacional de los Pueblos Indígenas (INPI) homologuen el Listado de Localidades Indígenas del Estado de México con el Catálogo Nacional de Localidades Indígenas.
Esto porque el INPI reconoce 647 comunidades indígenas mexiquenses inscritas en ese Catálogo Nacional; en contraste, el CEDIPIEM da cuenta de 840 comunidades en su listado.
Una diferencia de casi 200 comunidades indígenas cuyos integrantes no pueden acceder a los programas sociales, acciones y beneficios que se implementan desde el Gobierno Federal.
Los legisladores coincidieron en que para el PRI la causa indígena ha sido fundamental, y que seguirán trabajando para que vivan mejor, en el reconocimiento, la visibilización y la justicia igualitaria que merecen.
