La Secretaria de Turismo de San Luis Potosí, Patricia Véliz Alemán, dio a conocer para www.dossierdeprensa.mx el programa de actividades de Xantolo, la festividad de Día de Muertos de la Huasteca Potosina; también compartió los puntos más importantes que impulsará durante su periodo frente a la Sectur estatal.
Este año se retomarán las actividades de Xantolo que habían sido suspendidas debido a la pandemia, por lo cual se buscará que las celebraciones sean aún más espectaculares. Entre las novedades, se implementará la iniciativa “Xantolo en tu Ciudad”, que consistirá en una representación de esta magna fiesta en el área metropolitana del estado, en la capital y en el municipio de Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, con ello se pretende que quienes no han vivido el Xantolo directamente en la huasteca, puedan conocerlo.
El proyecto “Xantolo en tu cuidad” se hizo una realidad gracias a un trabajo en conjunto de las Secretarías de Turismo y Cultura del estado, así como del gobierno de San Luis Potosí, encabezado por el Gobernador José Ricardo Gallardo Cardona.
El evento, se desarrollará el 30 y 31 de octubre con el siguiente programa: desfile de carros alegóricos y comparsas en Avenida Venustiano Carranza de SLP y en la calle Hidalgo de Soledad Graciano Sánchez; Altar Monumental en Plaza de Armas de SLP y Jardín Principal de Soledad Graciano Sánchez; Fiesta de Luz en la catedral metropolitana de SLP; música tradicional Tének y Náhuatl, y Fiesta de Artesanías.
Cabe señalar que el Xantolo representa para los habitantes de la Huasteca Potosina la unión sagrada entre los vivos y muertos pues de acuerdo con sus creencias, la noche del 01 de noviembre las almas de los difuntos regresan a la tierra a convivir con sus seres amados vivos.
En esta fiesta es una mezcla entre la cultura indígena y española durante el periodo de colonización. Tiene su origen en el término latino santo o sanctorum, como se referían los antiguos religiosos cristianos a todo el ritual asociado a recordar “a los que ya no están” pero que, con el tiempo, sirvió para dar nombre a todo aquello que da “vida y color” a esta fiesta de profundo arraigo entre los huastecos.
La invitación para vivir esta gran fiesta es a partir del 28 de octubre al 4 de noviembre, todos los asistentes pueden participar de manera respetuosa en algunas actividades como rituales, velaciones, recorridos, etc.
También serán testigos de coloridos bailes tradicionales con máscaras, desfiles de comparsas, altares extraordinarios y degustarán la mejor gastronomía típica de la región. Es importante que, para disfrutar de forma, todos los visitantes sigan los protocolos sanitarios dictados por las autoridades.
El Xantolo, es la fecha más esperada por los habitantes de la región, esta fiesta además de estar llena de color, baile, música y recuerdos, también es una gran oportunidad para conocer la mejor gastronomía típica de la región, la cual se encuentra presente en los altares, y en las mesas de las familias durante esta época.
Sin duda el rey de los platillos de la huasteca es el zacahuil, y por tanto puede faltar durante las celebraciones de Día de Muertos. Se trata de un tamal gigante, es tan grande que fácilmente podría alimentarse toda una familia con él, mas no sólo su tamaño es grande pues lo es también su sabor.
Los bocoles son un deleite que nadie debe perderse si está por la Huasteca esos días, este platillo es parecido a lo que conocemos como una “gordita” pero a diferencia de éstas, los bocoles se hacen con mayor cantidad de masa, a la cual se le añade manteca de cerdo o res, y luego se le da una forma redonda pero no tan plana, se cocina en comal y finalmente se acompaña con queso o chorizo e incluso se le puede agregar carne de pollo.
Por otro lado la Secretaría de Turismo Estatal, Patricia Véliz Alemán, dio a conocer, que sus ejes de trabajo durante el tiempo que dure su administración serán los siguientes: diagnóstico oportuno de los distintos sectores de la actividad turística, impulso al turismo de la Huasteca Potosina, reordenamiento de sitios turísticos, acercamientos con diversas secretarias para forjar vínculos de trabajo que beneficien al turismo estatal, desarrollo sustentable de proyectos turísticos y capacitaciones constantes a prestadores de servicio.
